Lomalok was once a dry and barren land. No green vegetables could grow, there was no water, and food was extremely expensive. Life was tough for the villagers.
But after many heartfelt prayers for water, their cries were heard. Through the kindness of well-wishers, a well was built—and everything began to change.
What was once dry and lifeless has now turned green and full of promise. Maize and watermelons are thriving, and the harvest is just a few weeks away.
Pictured below, you can see photos of when the maize was just a few weeks old and where it is today…
The maize will be sold at very affordable prices to the villagers. The money raised will go toward buying more seeds, fertilizer, and other resources to help manage and grow the farm.
What was once a place of hardship and despair is now filled with joy and hope.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a part in this journey. We look forward to an even brighter future for the Lomalok community.
Thank you and God bless you!!.
